Reconcile channel economics
Present revenue by channel, discounts, returns, landed COGS, fulfillment and payment fees consistently. Explain differences between gross margin and contribution margin.
Prepare inventory records
Provide SKU-level quantities, aging, landed cost and slow-moving stock. Decide how inventory will be valued at closing and keep enterprise value separate from inventory purchase mechanics.
Check the current marketplace, seller packages and tools directly before you choose a venue.
Document suppliers and logistics
List suppliers, lead times, minimum orders, deposits, quality history, shipping methods and backup options. Buyers need confidence that relationships continue after transfer.
Show customer-acquisition quality
Provide paid-media history, attribution approach, repeat rate, email performance and organic contribution. Highlight durable channels without hiding volatility.
Review marketplace and payment accounts
Check platform rules, account-transfer requirements, reserves and compliance history before listing. Do not promise that an account transfers until the relevant provider permits it.
Package the operating calendar
Explain seasonality, product launches, ordering cycles, promotions and cash requirements. A buyer should understand when capital leaves the bank and when it comes back.
